Mrs Bottle writes “I have had help from the ABS for many years. Without their support my life would have been so much harder"
My husband became ill with Parkinson’s disease then he had several strokes which left him unable to walk. I live a mile from the shops in a small village and pushing him up the hill became very difficult. The ABS helped me purchase a scooter for him. As you can image it changed both of our lives.

We had regular visits from both welfare officers who discovered that I also had a problem getting my husband in and out of the bath. Within a short time an electric bath seat arrived that lifted him into and out of the bath. My husband died four years ago and now they visit me. It is a wonderful charity whose kindness I will always appreciate.”
